Program Outline:


Week 1: Introduction to Citizenship and English Vocabulary
Understanding the Exam:

  • Review the USCIS Official Guide.

  • Study the 100 civics questions and main topics.

  • Exam components:

    • Civics test (oral).

    • Reading test (read one sentence in English).

    • Writing test (write one sentence in English).

  • Key Vocabulary:

    • Important words: amendment, constitution, senator, etc.

    • Practice pronunciation with audio resources.

Week 2: U.S. History and Government
Democracy and Basic Principles:

  • The Constitution, Declaration of Independence, and three branches of government.

Early U.S. History:

  • Early settlers, Revolutionary War, and Founding Fathers.

Current Government:

  • Congress, President, and courts; memorize the names of current officials.

Citizens’ Rights and Responsibilities:

  • First Amendment, voting process, and key questions like:

    • What are two rights in the Declaration of Independence?

    • How many senators are there?


Week 3: Geography, Symbols, and Holidays

  • U.S. Geography: States, rivers, and capitals.

  • National Symbols: Flag, anthem, and patriotic holidays.


Week 4: Exam Simulation and Form Completion
Exam and Interview Simulation:

  • Practice reading, writing, and answering personal questions.

  • Simulated interview scenario with a mock officer.

Full Practice Exams:

  • Build confidence in speaking English fluently.

Form Completion:

  • Guidance on completing necessary forms for citizenship applications.

  • Overview of requirements for family petitions and responding to evidence requests.​
